Valentin Bubukin

Valentin Borisovich Bubukin (Russian Валентин Борисович Бубукин; * April 23, 1933 in Moscow, † October 30, 2008 ) was a Soviet football player who was used mostly in the offensive.

Bubukin won with Lokomotiv Moscow in 1957, the Soviet football trophy and in 1959 with the team second in the Soviet Championship. From 1961 to 1962 he played for CSKA Moscow, but moved again in 1963 to Lokomotiv Moscow. In 1965, he finished his career as an active player.

Bubukin was in the squad of the Soviet national team in the 1958 World Cup in Sweden, he came but not during this tournament to use one. His first international game he played then in September 1959 against Czechoslovakia. With the Soviet team, he won the 1960 which this year in France inaugural European Football Championship, which was then called " European Nations' Cup ." Overall, he played 11 times for the national team, scoring four goals.

After his active career as a footballer, he was head coach of the clubs Lokomotiv Moscow ( 1966-1968 ) Tawrija Simferopol ( 1970-1972 ) and Karpaty Lviv ( 1972-1974 ). From 1975 to 1987 he worked on the coaching staff of CSKA Moscow. Bubukin died in 2008 in the 76th year.
