Valentin Gallmetzer
Gallmetzer Valentin ( born February 9, 1870 in Obereggen; † 16 January 1958 Klausen ) was a South Tyrolean academic sculptor. He received his first art lessons at the age of 17 kk School in Bolzano. In 1890 he learned during his service as a soldier in Vienna the painter Thomas plan to know who gave him drawing lessons. In 1896 he began teaching at the Franz Tavella in Val Gardena and remained there until 1899. Gallmetzer enrolled in 1901 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
Gallmetzer was 16 years mayor of Klausen, pushed him to the fascists out of office.
