Valentin Mankin

The active career of Valentin Mankin included from 1955 to 1988 a total of 33 years. After the end of his career he was coach of the 1988 Soviet sailors teams at the Olympic Games in Seoul. Since the games in Barcelona in 1992, he coached the Italian team. The 2008 Beijing Games were thus the eleventh Olympic Games, in which he participated as a player or as a coach.
