Valentina Wallner

Valentina Olivia Violeta " Valle " Lizana Wallner (born 30 March 1990 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish ice hockey goalkeeper of Chilean origin.

Career

In the club

Wallner started her career in 1995 at the age of 5 years in the Trångsund Trångsunds IF. In the winter of 2005, she moved from her hometown Trångsund to Stockholm, the first team of AIK Solna. She made her debut for AIK within the IIHF European Women Champions Cup. It was followed by four more years for the AIK Riksserien before she switched to league rivals MODO Hockey 2010. With MODO 2012 she won the Swedish championship.

Internationally

Since 2009, Wallner is in the squad of the Swedish national ice hockey team of the women and made ​​her debut in the World Ice Hockey Championship of Women 2009 in Finland. A year later, Wallner was nominated for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, but came to no use. It was followed by 2011, 2012 and 2013, more participation in the World Championships for women.

In February 2014, it took part in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. She wanted to play in the tournament as well as previously in test matches in the likeness of the late 2011 Stefan Liv. The International Olympic Committee forbade her but wearing the helmet.

Valentina Lizana was the daughter of Chilean immigrants in the Swedish capital Stockholm and grew up in the municipality Huddinge in Trångsund on. Between 2003 and 2007 she attended the same high school in the Solna district of Stockholm, where she made in the spring of 2008 graduate.

Valentina married on June 29, 2013, businessman Patrick Wallner in Örnsköldsvik. Since then she plays International as Valentina Lizana Wallner and in the Swedish league as Valentina Wallner.
