Valeria Ciavatta

Valeria Ciavatta ( born January 16, 1959 in Borgo Maggiore ) is a politician from San Marino. She was between October 2003 and March 2004 one of the two Captains Regent ( leaders ) of San Marino. It belongs to the National Alliance Popolare dei Democratici Sammarinesi to per la Repubblica. My colleague in this term was Giovanni Lonfernini.

After visiting a humanistic Gymnasium Ciavatta studied law at the University of Urbino, where she graduated with a thesis on family law. She worked in the Land Registry Office ( ufficio del registro e Conservatoria ), the deputy head she is.

From 1978 to 1990 she was a member of the PDCS. In 1993 she was one of the founding members of the National Alliance Popolare. From 2001 to 2003 and from 2012 to 2013 she was leader of the Consiglio Grande e Generale in AP and in 2005 was party president.

Since 1993 she is a member of the Consiglio Grande e Generale. Together with Giovanni Lonfernini she was from October 1, 2003 to April 1, 2004 Capitano Reggente. From August 2006 to November 2012 she was Minister of the Interior. On March 12, 2014, it was elected for the term of office from 1 April 2014 to October 1, 2014, together with Luca Beccari to Capitano Reggente.
