Valérie Boyer

Valérie Boyer ( born June 11, 1962 in Bourges, Cher département ) is a French politician and deputy of the French National Assembly, where the Département Bouches -du -Rhône represents for the party UMP ( Union pour un mouvement populaire ).

Life

She is the daughter of Algerian-born Gabriel Boyer and the Tunisian -born Lucienne Borg. Valérie Boyer is divorced and the mother of three children. After she attended the Lycée Marcelin Berthelot in Saint- Maur - des -Fosses, she received a Diploma in Public Administration at the Institut d' études politiques d' Aix -en- Provence.

Political career

In 2001, she joined the team of Jean -Claude Gaudin, Mayor of Marseille, where she was elected to the city council of the 13th and the 14th arrondissement of Marseille. In 2007 she was elected as an MP for the 8th district of Bouches -du -Rhone.

In 2008, she submitted a draft law that will punish the depiction of extremely thin models in fashion advertising ( offense of "incitement to anorexia ") with a fine of up to 30,000 euros.

After they had presented in 2011 the draft law for penalizing the denial of the Armenian genocide, their website was attacked by Turkish hackers; this left a message in English and Turkish, were attacked in the French and Armenians. In addition, they also received numerous death threats, after which they filed a complaint against persons unknown for the bill.
