Valerie Chow

Valerie Chow (Chinese周嘉玲, Pinyin Zhou Jialing, born December 16, 1970 in Hong Kong; native Chow Ka -Ling ) is a Chinese actress and model. She is also known by the stage name Rachel Shane.

Life and achievements

Chow is an only child. She graduated in law at the University of Hong Kong. Chow won in 1991 the title of Miss Hong Kong Pageant.

Chow was nominated in 1995 for her role in the film drama Chungking Express (1994 ) for the Hong Kong Film Award. In the thriller Phantoms (1998) she played the role of a scientist on the side of Ben Affleck and Peter O'Toole. In the action film Fight of the Dragon ( 1999) she played a larger role at the side of Dolph Lundgren.

In 1998, Chow was hired as the first Chinese fashion model from the cosmetics company Revlon. Since 2003 she has worked for the Hong Kong luxury goods company, Lane Crawford.

Chow is married to the designer Goveas Darryl William since 2005. She lives in Hong Kong.
