Valerie Perrine

Valerie Perrine ( born September 3, 1943 in Galveston, Texas ) is an American actress.

Valerie Perrine is the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Army and a dancer. It started as a showgirl in Las Vegas. In 1973, she wrote a piece of American television history with the first undisguised shower scene in the theater adaptation Steambath by Bruce Jay Friedman.

Your first small film appearance Perrine graduated in 1971 in the James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever. 1974 she succeeded to the opposite Dustin Hoffman in Lenny 's international breakthrough. For the role of Honey Bruce, she was nominated for an Oscar in each case, the Golden Globe and the British Film Award for Best Actress. She won the British Film Award for Most Promising Actress. At the International Film Festival of Cannes 1975 Perrine received the award for Best Actress. At this great success Valerie Perrine but never was able to build again.
