Valerie Ziegenfuss

Valerie Ziegenfuss ( born June 29, 1949 in San Diego, California) is an American tennis player and the daughter of basketball coach George Ziegenfuss. Since the year 1970, she was active as a professional player. In the same year, she and the other players Billie Jean King, Rosie Casals, Nancy Richey, Kerry Melville, Peaches Bartkowicz, Kristy Pigeon, Judy Dalton, and Julie Heldman, known as the Original 9, the American women's Tennis Association, now under the names WTA ( Women's Tennis Association ) is known. She was in a double Olympic champion in 1968.

She now lives in San Diego. After her retirement as an active player, she worked as a tennis instructor, she opened her own real estate company. Her daughter Allison Bradshaw was also active for several years as a professional player.
