Valerio Evangelisti

Valerio Evangelisti ( born June 20, 1952 in Bologna ) is an Italian writer.

His major work, form sci-fi and fantasy novels. His most famous work Nostradamus trilogy was a bestseller and translated into many languages. Some of his works were filmed. Prior to his career as a writer Evangelisti studied history. He has written numerous essays on historical events and worked occasionally for the Italian Ministry of Finance. After one of his first novels, Nicolas Eymerich, 1993 Urania Award (awarded by the magazine Urania, Italy's largest science fiction magazine) won, he devoted himself exclusively to writing.
