Valhalla (crater)

Valhalla is the largest impact crater on Jupiter's moon Callisto. It has a bright central region of 600 km in diameter, and extend concentrically around this central area rings up to a distance of nearly 3000 km from the center. The ring system was probably formed as a semi-liquid material rushed to the center of the impact crater and thereby cooled. The crater is named after Odin's hall Valhalla in Norse mythology.
