Validation des Acquis de l'Experience

Validation of the acquis professionnels is a procedure that allows the certification of such professional skills that have been acquired outside the usual educational or training programs (see France) or is a so-called " other qualification procedures " to obtain a federal certificate ( EFZ ) (see Switzerland ).

France

In France, such a method has been implemented by a law from the year 2002 on the validation of the acquis de l' expérience ( VAE ).

Luxembourg

Switzerland

The validation of prior learning in Switzerland makes it possible to capture in a structured process a wide variety of educational services to certify the vocational skills and gain a formal qualification. The process is divided into five phases:

Phase 1: Information and advice

Interested persons register with the authorities responsible for the validation points ( entrance gates ) of the residential cantons. You will receive information about their options for an authenticated copy of their vocational skills and to acquire a professional level of secondary education, as well as the necessary information on the course of the validation process. The consultation can be claimed throughout the process as needed.

Phase 2: Accounting

The accounting is in the process of validation of prior learning the foundation. The candidates identify and analyze their personal and vocational skills as well as their general education and document this in a validation dossier. The validation file must meet defined minimum requirements regarding the form and content and contains data, facts and evidence, which take on a specific job-related qualifications and the requirements for general education reference.

Phase 3: Assessment

Experts of the profession and the general education examine the validation dossier together. After a conversation with the candidate or the candidate they shall make a judgment. The assessment is made from a holistic view and adult justice.

Phase 4: Validation

Phase 5: Certification
