Valkenburg, South Holland

Valkenburg is a suburb of Katwijk in the Netherlands, South Holland province.

On 1 January 2006 Valkenburg and Rijnsburg were merged to form the new municipality of Katwijk. The municipality of Valkenburg had 3878 inhabitants (as of 1 June 2005) and an area of ​​15.74 km ² of which 0.23 km ² water surface was.

Valkenburg has the head office of the Fisheries Group Parlevliet & Van der Plas. In the south of Valkenburg there used to be a major military airfield of the Royal Navy, the Vliegkamp Valkenburg.
