Vallenato

Vallenato is next to the cumbia a prevalent on the Atlantic coast of Colombia musical form that was originally played by an ensemble of accordion, a double-headed drum ( Caja ) and Güira.

Originally Vallenato means "The born in the valley ", in which case the valley between the Pico Cristóbal Colón and the Serrania de Perija in northeastern Colombia is meant.
