Vallentuna Municipality

Vallentuna is a municipality (Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish Stockholm County and the historic province of Uppland. The main town of the municipality is Vallentuna.

Geography and Nature

The community is located about 25 km north of Stockholm and is a mix of forest and arable land, which fall is interrupted by small bodies and settlements. Here, many horses are kept striking, so that one in twenty " inhabitants " a horse is.

History

In the administrative reform of 1952, located here 8 parishes ( socks ) were combined to form the communities Vallentuna and Össeby. In a further reform of 1971, united these two communities.

Economy
