Valley of the Wolves Gladio (Original Title: Kurtlar Vadisi - Gladio ) is an action film of the Turkish director Sadullah Şentürk. It is the third film of the Valley of the Wolves series. German theatrical release was on 19 November 2009.

Action

The former intelligence agent Iskender Büyük, now retired, is accused in his did rich past due to several unexplained incidents; acts as a defender of the inexperienced lawyer Ayse. Büyük, disappointed by the disloyalty of his former clients who are silent now, therefore, provides information on what has happened, reveals involvement of Turkish politics, justice, officially non-existent Turkish secret services, the U.S. influences and terrorism. The (historical ) secret organization " Gladio " plays a central role, which stirs up the public and can appear incidents of the past in a new light.

Büyük who follows his own revenge interests, he manages to get through his statements to the deputy head of the organization from the prison. Together with him, he covers for Turkey on shocking truths and fight against those responsible, but what enriches the conspiracy just another complication.

The film works with bits and pieces of genuine political and historical backgrounds that are as " Deep State " became known in Turkey and not fully clarified.

Criticism

In filmdienst criticized Bernd Buder the film, the historical facts surrounding the NATO's secret Gladio organization mixed with speculation, especially because of its very tiring "One - against - all " plot. The film was controversial and referred to as " anti-American and anti -Semitic."
