The Valley View University (Eng. Valley View University) (in short: VVU ) is the first private university in Ghana. It is part of the higher education system of the Seventh- day Adventist Church (English Seventh-Day Adventist Church) which now has 98 colleges.

History

Today's Valley View University was in the West African Union Mission of Seventh - Day Adventists (now Ghana Union Conference) already established in 1979 as Adventist Missionary College in Bekwai in the Ashanti region. In 1983 it was moved to Adetan in the near Accra and finally renamed in 1989 after Oybibi, moved about 25 miles outside of Accra and in Valley View College.

In 1995, the Institute of Griggs University in Silver Springs, Maryland, USA has been connected. This made it possible to decrease degrees in theology and religious studies at the University. In the same year the University from the National Accreditation Board of the University status was awarded.

In 1997, the university was integrated into the University System of Adventist University of Seventh-Day Adventist.
