Vallum

As Vallum (Latin ) a picket fence was such as a border fortification or combined wood and Erdbefestigung Roman military camp called in Roman times originally. Later it was called by the Romans any attachment (such as earthworks and ramparts ) Vallum. A well-known place called vallatum is at Manching ( Bavaria ), famous Roman road station whose names appear on the ramparts ( the walls had collapsed ) of the initially Celtic oppidum of Manching ( the ancient name is not known ) is due.
