Valmeinier

Valmeinier is a commune with 447 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Savoie in the Rhone-Alpes region near the French-Italian border and is owned by the community association Communauté de communes Maurienne Galibier on.

The ski resorts Valmeinier1500 and Valmeinier1800 together with the neighboring village of Valloire, the winter resort " Galibier Thabor " with 83 ski runs of 150 km in length, which are connected by 35 ski lifts.
