Valšov–Rýmařov railway

The railway line Valšov - Rýmařov is a branch line ( " regionální dráha " ) in the Czech Republic, originally by kk State Railways ( kkStB ) was built and operated as a state railway Kriegsdorf - Roman city. It branches into Valšov ( Kriegsdorf ) of the railway line Olomouc Opava from východ and leads the Low dies after Rýmařov ( Roman city).

History

On April 21, 1870, the k.k. received priv Moravian -Silesian Central Railway ( MSCB ) the concession for their main line of Olomouc about hunters village to the border with Leobschutz. Part of this concession was also the construction of several branching branch lines. Approved lines after Olbersdorf with possible continuation of the Prussian Neisse, after Opava, Roman city and Würbenthal. However, the financial difficulties as a result of the founder crash of 1873 prevented a realization of the branch lines. In this situation, the Austrian government took the initiative and led out of the connection Kriegsdorf - Roman town (as well as the adjacent track Erbersdorf - Würbenthal ) for their own account.

In 1912, the schedule of the local railway had a total of four mixed pairs of trains. They needed for the 14 -kilometer route between 39-56 minutes.

After the First World War, Austria-Hungary lost for the route came into the ownership of the newly established Czechoslovak State Railways ( ČSD ). In the late 1920s, there is a significant compression of the timetable and a shortening of the travel time to about 30-37 minutes at most trains. The winter timetable 1937/38, registered a total of nine pairs of trains that stopped at all intermediate stations.

After the annexation of the Sudetenland to Germany in the autumn of 1938, the route to the Deutsche Reichsbahn, Reichsbahndirektion Opole. In the realm Kursbuch the connection was included as a course book route 151W Kriegsdorf - Roman city. After the end of the Second World War, the route came back completely to the ČSD.

On 1 January 1993 the route was over the course of the dissolution of Czechoslovakia at the České Railways ( ČD ) newly founded.

In the year 2012 timetable, the total distance of ten daily passenger train pairs is served on Sundays, at eight. The majority of the trains will be bound as line S10 to and from Opava východ. The journey takes between 24-25 minutes, which corresponds to a speed of 34 km / h.

Route description

The route leaves the Valšov station to the south. After crossing the Opava River, the route to the west leads to the orographic right bank to the end point Rýmařov. Greater slopes as artificial structures do not exist on the simple trassierten route.
