Van Buren is a town in Aroostook County, Maine, in the United States. It lies on the Saint John River, in the middle runs the border with Canada, and is located across from Saint Leonard. The census of 2010 showed 2,171 residents who lived on an area of 91.0 km ². It is named after the eighth President of the United States Martin Van Buren.

76.6 % of residents speak French, although the lingua franca in Maine is English.
