Vanavara (rural locality)

Wanawara (Russian Ванавара ) is a Ewenkendorf in Russia's Krasnoyarsk region ( until its dissolution on 1 January 2007 in the Autonomous District of the Evenki ) on the banks of the Stony Tunguska. It has (14 October 2010 Status ) 3153 inhabitants.

In 65 km distance from the trade settlement took place in 1908 instead of an explosion, which is probably due to a comet or asteroid crash. This is now known as the Tunguska event. In Wanawara despite the great distance windows and doors were pushed what the powerful explosive shows.
