Vance is a town which lies in the two counties Tuscaloosa and Bibb, Alabama. Best known is the community for the Mercedes -Benz U.S. International plant, in which, among other things, the Mercedes -Benz M-Class is produced. In general, the location of the work with the community of Tuscaloosa is associated.

Vance was founded in 1830 by David M. Lindley. At that time still under the name of Trion. Only in 1879 the church in Vance, was renamed in recognition of Dr. William Vance of North Carolina.
