Vanchinbalyn Injinash

Wantschinbalyn Indschinasch (Mongolian Ванчинбалын Инжинаш; * spring 1837, † February 25, 1892 ) was a Mongolian writer and is considered the founder of the Mongol novel.

Life

Indschinasch was born as the youngest son in a noble family with eight children. He was a son of the Wantschinbal (1794-1847), an educated officials, land and mine owner from eastern Mongolia, a part of the interior today to Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. Although the Mongolian elite belonging to that led a life style of the ruling Manchu and Chinese ways of life took over captured, Indschinasch early the escalation of social conflicts as between the Manchus, the Chinese and the original living alone in his home area and more and more impoverished Mongols passed.

From these conflicts arose, the main work of the poet, on the one hand admired the Chinese culture, on the other hand, the national return of his people called by he promoted the idea of the rule of an enlightened prince could be an alternative to the feudal conditions of the 19th century, with their growing signs of decay.

In the spirit of Confucianism and Buddhism brought to Indschinasch employed early in languages and literature, the classical Chinese novels such as "The Dream of Red Mansions" served as his literary model.

Work

After the autobiographical Youth uncompleted " The tears of lovers " intervened on his novels " The single-storey pavilion" and "The Chamber of red tears " (all published in 1957 ) themes of the Chinese novel. Especially " The single-storey pavilion" contains realistic, socially critical passages such as " The Song of the poor peasants " (Eng. 1972).

Indschinasch became the founder of the Mongol novel, which significantly from the chronicles ( Towtsch ) receives the 17th to the 19th century stands and critical thinking. A special feature is that it fitted in with his poems novels, bringing the feelings and moods of the literary figures expressed. They carry impressionistic character, often have epigrammatic brevity and show the strong lyrical talent of the author. Posted in " Chinese style ", the three of his older brothers and their poems were wont, they differ from the rest of Mongolian poetry.

For life's work Indschinaschs " The Blue Book of the rise of the Yuan Dynasty " was ( briefly The Blue Chronicle or Blue Sutra '), which had begun his father ( he wrote the first eight chapters ) and at the of 1866 until his he death worked. Of the original 120 designed chapters of the novel, however, were only found 69 that existed in 1929 printed by handwritten spread for the first time. The author wanted to make it the Mongols in their distress and despair courage in the form of Chinggis Khan as an "ideal ruler " and the "glorious Middle Ages" ( the Yuan Dynasty, 1271-1368 ) turned to. However, he created character has nothing to do with the historic state founder and ruler of the world, because Indschinaschs novel has strong time- historical references. Its importance lies in the fact that he can be called despite idealized Romantic elements as a work of critical realism.

Indschinasch took over, in contrast to his father and his older brothers, no state office, but devoted himself entirely to his literary ambitions. Today, his work is highly appreciated and he is next Dulduityn Rawdschaa as classics of Mongolian literature.
