Vanessa Brown

Vanessa Brown, born Smylla Brynd ( born March 24, 1928 in Vienna, † 21 May 1999 Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, USA ) was an American actress.

Life and career

In 1937 Vanessa Brown fled with her ​​Jewish family from the Nazis in Paris and a few years later in the United States. In 1941, she auditioned for a role in the Broadway play Watch on the Rhine, and was engaged as understudy for actress Ann Blyth. They also received other roles as first cast and used her experiences to write even pieces. Due to their above average intelligence, she performed in the radio series Quiz Kids.

Soon, Hollywood took notice of the young actress. She got roles in the films The Ghost and Mrs. feet, The Heiress, and Tarzan and the Slave Girl. In addition, she appeared in series such as Perry Mason, General Hospital and Dallas.

In 1959 she married the television director Mark Sandrich Jr. and had two children. The marriage ended in divorce.

1988 was diagnosed with breast cancer the actress. Shortly after, she lost her house in an earthquake. In 1999, she died as a result of their cancer.
