Vanwyksdorp is a village with about 833 inhabitants in the municipality Can Aland, District Eden, Western Cape Province in South Africa. It is situated between Ladismith ( 42 km west ) and Calitzdorp. The connection to the R62 33 km away via the unpaved R327.

History

The city was founded in 1838 and named after its founder Gerrit vanWyk.
