Vanzago

Vanzago is a municipality with 8884 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Milan, Lombardy region.

The nearby towns of Vanzago are Pogliano Milanese, Pregnana Milanese, Arluno and Sedriano.

History

The first signs of a settlement dates back to the year 864 AD. The area is dominated by agriculture and lived mainly agricultural laborers and farmers in Vanzago. But for 30 years the place is characterized by the influx of Milan's population. Main reason for the change of residence is the natural environment.

Demography

Vanzago counts 3,057 households. Between 1991 and 2001 the population increased from 5,668 to 6,783. This represents a percentage increase of 16.1%. Due to the proximity to the city of Milan many new residents settled in the last 30 years. With public transportation Milan can be reached quickly and comfortably.
