Vara Parish

Vara ( German: Warrol ) is a rural municipality in the Estonian Tartu county with an area of ​​333.04 km ². It has 1947 inhabitants (as of 1 June 2006).

Vara is in the northwest of the county, just 20 km from Tartu. In the east Vara borders on Lake Peipus. In addition to the main town of Vara (416 inhabitants ) belong to the rural community of the villages Ätte, Alajõe, Kargaja, cauda, Keressaare, Koosa, Koosalaane, Kuzma, Kuusiku, Matjama, Meoma, Metsakivi, Mustametsa, Papiaru, Pilpaküla, Praaga, Põdra, Põldmaa, Põrgu, Rehemetsa, Selgise, Sookalduse, Särgla, Tähemaa, Undi, Vara, Vanaussaia and Välgi.
