Vardanes II of Parthia

Vardanes II was a Parthian rival king, who reigned from 55 to about 58.

He was a son of Vologaeses I., against which he stood. The event is briefly mentioned in Tacitus. Vardanes II is otherwise known only from his coins that were minted in Ecbatana and Seleucia on the Tigris, the places he thus at least temporarily dominated. Nothing further is known about his person and reign.
