Varde is a small town in Jutland, in the former province of Ribe Amt, belonging since the municipal reform of 2007, the new Region Syddanmark, 18 km north of Esbjerg in Denmark. It was first recorded in 1100. Varde is 251 km ².

From the medieval city, which was mentioned in writing in the 12th century, is no longer receive anything because of the many fires.
