Vasek Pospisil

Vasek Pospisil ( born June 23, 1990 in Vernon ) is a Canadian tennis player. He is a member of the Canadian Davis Cup team.

Tennis career

Due to the fact that his father Milos Pospisil was a tennis coach, he came at the age of 5 years for the first time with the sport in contact. In 2005 he stood for the first time in the final of the Canadian U18 ITF World Ranking Event and won the doubles final with his partner Graeme Kassautzki there. In the individual he was also in the final, but lost his match against his doubles partner. There were other victories on the junior tour, for example, he won the 2007 ITF Indoor McDonalds Flevoland Junior Championships in Almere, the Junior U18 Outdoor Nationals in St- Bruno -de- Montarville and the All Canadian ITF Championships in Burlington.

Beginning of the professional career (2007-2011)

His first attempts on the ATP Tour in 2007 were three Challenger tournaments, but where he got out in any of the first round. In the years 2008 and 2009 he continued to play mainly Challenger and Futures tournaments. His first tournament on the ATP World Tour, he played at the Canada Masters 2008, and no, he managed to advance into the main panel of the tournament. The year 2012

After successfully qualifying for the ATP 250 tournament in Chennai, he stood opposite the German Andreas Beck in the first round. He lost the match in two sets 3:6, 6:78.
