Vasilije Mokranjac

Basil Mokranjac ( born September 11, 1923 in Belgrade, † May 27, 1984 ) was a Yugoslav composer.

Mokranjac was at the Music Academy of Belgrade student of Stanojlo Rajicic. Since 1956 he worked there as a professor of composition.

In addition to five symphonies, three overtures and several concert works, he composed chamber music, piano pieces as well as film and theater music.
