Vasiliy Mikhaylovich Alekseyev

Vasily Mikhailovich Alekseev (Russian: Василий Михайлович Алексеев ) (. . * 2 Januarjul / January 14 1881greg in St. Petersburg, † May 12, 1951 ) was a Russian sinologist.

Among his most famous works is his travel diary V starom Kitae on a trip to China in 1907, which was also translated into German. He made important research contributions to Chinese folklore and literature. Aleksejew also translated the Liaozhai Zhiyi by Pu Songling into Russian.
