Vassacher See
The Vassacher Lake is a lake near the city of Villach in the Austrian province of Carinthia.
Location
The lake is surrounded by Oswaldiberg the east by Kumitzberg and in the West. The area of the lake is 4.43 ha with a maximum depth of 10.2 m. The altitude is 521 m above sea level. A.. The lake has a catchment area of 1.5 km ².
History

Biotope

Recreation
The Vassacher lake is owned by the municipality Villach and the public accessible free of charge. It is used for bathing and in winter for ice skating in the summer.
Water Rescue
Since the summer of 2004, there are at Vassacher lake a water rescue base for the Austrian Life ( ÖWR ) Villach. The base was relocated in the spring of 2006 directly to the bathing area and officially opened on 14 July 2006.
