Vasylivka

Wassyliwka (Ukrainian Василівка; Russian Васильевка / Wassiljewka ) is a small city in the Zaporizhia Oblast in the south-central Ukraine. It is the administrative center of the Rajons Wassyliwka and is located on the southern edge of the eastern Kachowkaer reservoir.

The town was founded in 1784 and since 1957 has Wassyliwka the municipal law.

In Wassyliwka the Popov Castle was built in neo-Gothic style 1864-1884. After heavy destruction of the Second World War, it was rebuilt since the beginning of the 1990s.
