Vatan (Indre)

Vatan is a commune of 2048 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Centre region, in the département of Indre. Vatan is part of the arrondissement of Issoudun and is the principal town in the canton of Vatan.

Vatan is located about 30 kilometers west of Bourges to the Autoroute A20 (L' Occitane ) and was in the Tour de France 2009 starting point of the 11th stage.
