Vaterland Bridge

Fatherland bro ( German: Homeland Bridge ) is a bridge over the Akerselva in the center of Oslo. The bridge connects the streets Brugata and Grønland and the city sub-areas Fatherland and Grønland.

The Fatherland bro was built in 1654 and remodeled in the 1830s. Until the construction of the bridge all the eastern and north to come had to use the bridge at Kongens mølle. Fatherland bro was the main access road to the town of North and East to the edification of the Nybrua in 1827.
