Vauxhall Belmont

The Vauxhall Belmont was a car model of the British manufacturer Vauxhall. It was built from 1985 to 1991 and presented the notchback counterpart to the Vauxhall Astra dar. by the independent names they wanted to put the car above the Astra and be guided by the main competitors Ford, who with his also a positioned above the Escort Ford Orion on the island was very successful.

However, since the relationship with the Astra was too obvious - outside the UK were both already sold as Opel Kadett - the decision was made at the model change in 1991 in England to unify the names of the models and market them as Vauxhall Astra.
