Position of Wajenga (English Vayenga ) in the catchment area of the Northern Dvina

The Wajenga (Russian Ваенга, Ваеньга ) is a right tributary of the Northern Dvina River in Arkhangelsk Oblast in northwestern Russia.

The Wajenga rises about 40 km east of the Waga - mouth on a ridge east of the river of the Northern Dvina. It flows to North West West. Later, the Wajenga turns to the southeast and shortly thereafter to the west and eventually reached after 218 km north-west of the settlement Beresnik, the Northern Dvina. It flows through a wooded landscape. My river is characterized by wide river bends. The catchment area covers 3370 km ². The largest outflows reached the Wajenga during snowmelt in the month of May. At the level Filimonowskaja, 42 km upstream of the mouth, the average discharge is 29.8 m³ / s The main tributaries are Nondrus (left) and Jugna (right). Until the 1990s, the river was used for rafts.
