Veckring
Veckring ( German Weckringen, Lorraine Weckréngen ) is a municipality with 683 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region, about 16 km east of Thionville.
The place belongs since 1659 to France and was from 1811 to 1901 part of the neighboring municipality Budling. The western Fort Hackenberg was in the last century part of the Maginot Line.
The municipality Veckring includes the westernmost village Helling ( slipways ).

Economy
The community Veckring has no appreciable number of industrial enterprises. Veckring is influenced to some extent by agricultural trade. At the eastern entrance to a local paintball place of national importance has emerged some time ago.
