The Vedea ( Raul Vedea ) is a left tributary of the Danube in Romania.

The Vedea springs near Făgeţelu in the foothills of the Southern Carpathians in Olt County. From there, it flows south through the counties of Arges and Teleorman. In the upper reaches of the Vedea flows through a hilly terrain. They finally reached the Wallachian Plain, turns to the southeast and flows 12 kilometers east of Zimnicea into the Danube. The Vedea has a length of 224 km. It drains an area of ​​5430 km ². Its catchment area is bordered to the west by the Olt and on the east by that of Arges. Cities along the river are Rosiorii de Veda and Alexandria. Most important tributaries of the Vedea are Cotmeana and Teleorman, both from the left.
