Vega (crater)

Vega is an impact crater on the southeastern edge of the lunar front side, southeast of the crater Furnerius and west of Oken. The crater is eroded and the edge superimposed several times from side craters.

The crater was officially named in 1935 by the IAU by the Slovenian mathematician Georg von Vega.
