Vehicle registration plates of Uzbekistan

Uzbek license plate correspond to the European standard size (520 × 110 mm) and have black lettering on a white background. The current designation system was introduced on 1 October 2008.

Current System

The current number plates show on the right side, the Uzbek national flag and the distinguishing sign of the IP. Links is in a separate box to see a two-digit number indicating the corresponding province. The actual combination is in private vehicles from a letter followed by three digits and two letters. Regulatory vehicles show three digits, which is followed by three letters. For trailers, the combination consists of four digits and two letters, with two wheels of three digits and two letters. Old system

1996, five years after the independence of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek first indicator system was established. The license plate started with two light blue area digits. Uzbek SSR

Used before independence in 1991 the Uzbek SSR as part of the Soviet Union Soviet flag. Each province was assigned abbreviation of two Cyrillic letters.
