Vehicle registration tax (Ireland)
A registration tax is in addition to the tax on the first registration of a new vehicle due in some countries.
Denmark
In Denmark, a registration tax ( Registreringsafgift ) is payable on first registration of a new vehicle. Up to a threshold ( currently 79,000 DKK ) it is 105 %, for amounts exceeding 180% are due. The basis for calculation is the price of a new car including 25 % VAT. Reduce the fee if the car has certain safety features or is particularly environmentally friendly.

Singapore
In Singapore, a registration tax of 150 % of market value plus $ 1,000 for private car or $ 5,000 for company goods is payable on first registration of an imported new or used car. The VAT on imported cars is 41 %. In addition you need for the car purchase a Certificate of Entitlement. These allowances will be auctioned in different dependent on engine capacity categories and can again cost about $ 100,000.
