Veiholmen

Veiholmen is the largest island of the Norwegian municipality Smøla.

Smøla lies at the northernmost tip of More og Romsdal between the cities of Kristiansund and Trondheim on the Norwegian west coast and consists of several islands. With its 400 inhabitants Veiholmen one of the larger settlements in Smøla. The island is accessible via a bridge.

In the north of the island is the old fishing station, which is still in operation and is an essential part of the fishing industry in the region.

Another economic branch of the island as well as the municipality is tourism. The island is just as popular as anglers, hikers and divers from other countries with the Norwegians.
