25 de Agosto ( Veinticinco de Agosto ) is a city in Uruguay.

Geography

It is located on the territory of the department of Florida in the sector 13 in the Cuchilla del Pintado on the banks of the Río Santa Lucía. The city is located in the extreme southwestern tip of the department on the border with the Nachbardepartamentos San José and Canelones. Nearest settlement in the north is Independencia. The westernmost location Ituzaingó located on the opposite, right bank of the Arroyo de la Virgen, the affected 25 de Agosto in the west and south.

Infrastructure

Through the village run the Ruta 76, Ruta 77 and the railway line Montevideo - Paso de los Toros.

Population

The Population 25 de Agostos is 1,849 (as of 2011), of which 906 male and 943 female.
