The department Veinticinco de Mayo (San Juan ) is located south of San Juan province in western Argentina is one of 19 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered to the north by the Departamento Caucete, on the east by the province of San Luis, to the south by the province of Mendoza and the west by the departments Sarmiento, Nueve de Julio and Rawson.

The capital of the department Veinticinco de Mayo (San Juan ) is Villa Santa Rosa.
