Velem

Velem ( German: St. Veit in Vas County ) is a Hungarian village near the Austrian border, 6 km southwest of Kőszeg ( Güns ) away, on the slopes of Günser Mountains. The place is located in the area of ​​the Park Geschriebenstein - Irottkö.

History

At the Holy Brunn - source archaeologists found 2000 year old Roman aqueducts, which led the water to Szombathely. In the villa Stirling fleeing the Szálasi government kept on the Holy Crown between December 29, 1944 and 19 March 1945.
