Velennes (Somme)

Velennes ( Picard: Vlène ) is a northern French village with 148 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes du canton de Conty, in the canton Conty.

Geography

The community is located about 5 km west-northwest of Conty at the department of road D245 and north of the river Évoissons, which forms the southern boundary of the municipality. To Velennes the homestead L' Hirondelle heard in the valley of Évoissons.
