Velikton Barannikov

Welikton Barannikow ( born July 4, 1938 in Ulan- Ude, † 29 November 2007) was a Soviet boxer.

Barannikow took part in the 1960 Olympics and silver medalist of the Olympic Games in 1964. In this second part he beat Luis Zuniga, Chile (4:1), Adrian Blair, Australia (5-0 ), János Kajdi, Hungary (KO 2 ), and James McCourt, Ireland ( 3-2 ), and lost in the final against Poland Józef Grudzień 5-0 judges' votes. The following year he returned the favor with Grudzień the final of the European Championships.
